Philosophy

Henning Kreitz strives to integrate his structures into cities, landscape and cultural history. This requires an experimental way of thinking - it requires freedom and mental agility.

He did not acquire this way of thinking during his architectural studies, but rather during his time onboard the sailing school ship 'Gorch Fock' where he was also taught far-sightedness. As an architect he is a conceptional and holistic thinker with an excellent talent for observation.

And what does he say about his profession?

"… working as an architect is an adventurous occupation. It borders art and technology, a balancing-act between invention and memory: designing and construction. This is the most wonderful job in the world."
